Transcripts of testimony of Delaware lawsuits involving the Wilmington and Northern Railroad Company, 1888-1889.

Stenographic reports of testimony of cases tried in the Delaware Supreme Court. The plaintiff was an 11-year old girl who, with her parents, was thrown from a wagon when the horse bolted and the wagon became caught on the railroad crossing at the foot of Barley Mill Road. The plaintiff sued for damages for falling into a sewer while trying to make her way from the Wilmington station on a rainy night after the lights were extinguished. Her lawyer also argued that, in addition to her other injuries, her uterine cancer was triggered or exacerbated by the fall. Includes the charge to the jury.
